stoked to see an alveoplasty during Give a Smile Day but was sadly disappointed as the patient had drink some alcohol prior to his operation. Though he was provided local anesthesia (and potentially block), he felt the pain when reflecting back the gums. He had to go home, teethless, without operation, and stitches.

Started internship at Ravenswood Family Health Center as PDHN last week and will begin volunteering as sterilization tech on Fridays! I’ll get to do everything I enjoy: art (in graphics), public health marketing, and health education all wrapped up in DENTISTRY.
Definitely pumped about my internship :).

Contemplating my choice to retake pre-reqs at a jc. Initially it was to conserve money but I don’t think that was a good enough reason…. Did I just ruin my prospects of getting into dental school? :(

NOT used to writing cover letters. Mind is completely in personal statement mode. Practice makes perfect!
They need to create a writing class tailored towards personal statements, secondaries, cover letters, resumes, and CVs. It would make life a lot easier!!
